1. General Terms
All services provided by DC Landscaping are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
Amendments to these terms must be agreed upon in writing before any work begins.
DC Landscaping reserves the right to decline or terminate any project if the client breaches these terms or engages in behaviour that disrupts the completion of work.
2. Quotes and Payment
Quotes:
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the issue date unless otherwise stated.
Quotes may be subject to adjustment if material costs or project specifications change after the initial agreement.
Payment Terms:
A deposit may be required prior to commencing work. This deposit is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has begun.
The remaining balance is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur additional charges. Payments that are over 14 days late will accrue interest at 2% per month.
3. Project Timelines
Estimated timelines are provided during the consultation process but may be subject to change due to:
Weather conditions.
Delays in obtaining materials.
Unforeseen circumstances, such as site-specific challenges or third-party issues.
Any changes to the timeline will be communicated promptly to the client.
4. Client Obligations
The client is responsible for:
Ensuring clear and safe access to the worksite.
Removing any personal items, pets, or obstructions that could hinder the work.
Disclosing any underground utilities, cables, or other potential hazards before work begins.
DC Landscaping will not be liable for damage to undisclosed underground services or structures.
5. Cancellations and Amendments
Cancellations:
All cancellations must be made in writing at least 7 days prior to the agreed start date.
Cancellation fees may apply to cover any incurred costs, such as ordered materials or scheduled labour.
Amendments:
Changes to the project scope or materials after work has begun may incur additional costs and timeline adjustments.
Any agreed-upon changes must be documented in writing.
6. Materials
DC Landscaping sources high-quality materials for all projects. Any specific material requests by the client must be agreed upon in advance.
Ownership of materials remains with DC Landscaping until full payment has been received.
7. Liability
DC Landscaping is not responsible for:
Delays or damages caused by weather, third-party contractors, or supply chain issues.
Damage caused by wear and tear, improper maintenance, or use of the landscaping features beyond their intended purpose.
Any warranties provided will be void if the client alters or tampers with the work after completion without consulting DC Landscaping.
8. Work Guarantee
DC Landscaping guarantees the quality of workmanship for a period of 12 months from the project completion date.
This guarantee does not cover:
Damage caused by weather, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
Natural settling of materials or plant growth outside of our control.
9. Health and Safety
DC Landscaping complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.
The client must inform us of any site-specific hazards before work begins.
Our team will take appropriate safety precautions to minimise risks on-site.
10. Privacy
DC Landscaping respects your privacy. Any personal information collected will be used solely for project communication and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the unlikely event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through discussion and mediation before pursuing legal action.
